YASKAWA says its $avings Predictor, which estimates energy savings when using a variable frequency drive in control applications, is now available on Apple iTunes for iPhone (OS 3.1.2 or later) and iPod touch.
According to Yaskawa, variable frequency drives are electronic devices which control three-phase electric motor speed.
The drives are used in building automation, industrial, pumping and water/wastewater applications to control the speed of fans and pumps in various systems.
Yaskawa manufactures variable frequency drives, machine controllers, servo amplifiers and servo motors.
