SEW-EURODRIVE has announced the release of its DR motor modular system, an energy efficient motor series said to provide users with multiple drive combinations.
According to SEW-Eurodrive, the DR motor modular system has a variety of sensor and feedback options for speed, position and brake wear, making it suitable for sophisticated electronic drive control systems.
The DR motor modular system meets international energy standards and comes in three efficiency levels, DRS Standard Efficiency (IE1), DRE High Efficiency (IE2) and DRP Premium Efficiency (IE3). The IE3 meets EISA 2007 and NEMA Premium standards for the USA and other energy standards in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
In addition to energy efficiency options, the DR motor modular system is said to offer other customisable options including brake size, cost-optimised encoders and mounting type.
