ROCKWELL Automation is distributing a range of linear stage actuators from Allen-Bradley.
The MP-Series Integrated Linear Stage is available in 230 and 460V models and can achieve speeds up to five metres per second. It is also available in 150, 200 and 250mm frame sizes.
According to the distributor, the device uses either a ballscrew or a direct drive linear motor and can be fitted with a holding brake.
The company says the unit is cheaper and easier to install than normal actuators. It eliminates separate adapters, belts, gears and assembly labour.
