PITTMAN has released a range of brush-commutated DC servo motors said to deliver more power than most other motors of similar size.

The Series 6000 22mm diameter motors are available in three standard lengths and feature a skewed five-slot armature design and bonded neodymium iron boron magnets.

The company says the longest model, at 48mm, can generate 0.014Nm of continuous torque, up to 40% more than other motors with the same diameter. The other lengths, 32 and 40mm, can generate 0.006 and 0.009Nm respectively.

The 48mm model can generate a maximum peak torque is 0.07Nm and speeds up to 8720RPM.

The unit is included with sintered bronze bearings, two-pole stators, a heavy-gauge steel housing, silicon steel laminations and copper graphite brushes. Optional ball bearings, EMI/RFI filter networks and leadwire or terminal connection configurations are also available.
