MAXON Motor has released the miniaturised EPOS2 Module 36/2 as an addition to the EPOS family of digital positioning controllers.
Maxon says the EPOS2 Module 36/2 is designed to control the motion brush DC motors as well as the brushless EC motors. It is suitable for miniaturised single-axis and multiple-axis applications.
According to Maxon, the EPOS2 Module 36/2 can be operated in various operational modes. These include as a position controller, a speed controller or as a current controller. This characteristic allows the use of the module in a vast range of drive systems.
Maxon says the EPOS2 Module 36/2 can be applied wherever decentralised drive management is needed, such as in automation engineering or in mechatronics.
According to Maxon, the EPOS2 Module 36/2 can communicate within a CANopen network or with its USB and RS-232 interface.
