AMETEK has released a range of brush-commutated DC servomotors which have an improved motor-to-load inertia matching capability.

According to the manufacturer, the MCGÂ ID Series motors incorporate higher inertia armatures which provide the improved matching capability for medium to high reflected load inertias.

The company says the unit’s low cogging torque and simple brush commutation technology generate smooth operation at all speeds.

The device has a power range between 89.5 and 447.4W, can generate a continuous torque from 0.212Nm to 1.59Nm and can reach speeds up to 6000RPM. It also meets the IP-42 standards.

The motors are suitable for robotic, automation, machine tool, materials handling and packaging applications.
