PITTMAN has released the G30A planetary gearbox, designed for its range of DC motors and offering “superior” torque capacity, performance life and shaft loading capabilities.
The G30A planetary gearbox has been engineered to combine with at least five different series of Pittman DC motors in various models to meet the widest range of gearmotor applications.
Pittman says the G30A planetary gearbox is available with standard diameters of 30.5mm for round versions and 38mm for square types. The units are available in lengths between 22.7 and 40.3mm.
According to Pittman, the G30A planetary gearbox can achieve reduction ratios to 46656:1 in 4:1, 5:1 and 6:1 multiples, meaning there are a total of 79 configurable ratios. It can provide maximum load capacities from 0.75 to 8.80Nm depending on the type.
Pittman says the G30A planetary gearbox also has low audible noise characteristics, sintered steel planet gears, single-piece carrier plates with integral planet posts and a 416 grade stainless steel output shaft to protect against corrosion.
