The RTA NDC series have a selectable resolution range AUTOMATED Motion Systems has released a range of economical stepper drives suitable for single- or multi-axis motion control applications.

The RTA NDC series have a selectable resolution range which can be set up to 4000 steps per revolution.

The company says the unit has an unregulated power supply which cab be anywhere between 24 and 75V DC. Its output is up to six amps, making it suitable for 23 or 34 frame motors.

According to the manufacturer, the current settings are determined by dip switches instead of external resistors. It also has an inbuilt oscillator for manual positioning, constant speed control and labelling applications.

The drive is protected from motor short circuits, over-temperature and overvoltage and has LEDs to indicate them.
