SEW-EURODRIVE will conduct educational seminars at its Tullamarine headquarters in October 2008.
The ‘Driving towards industrial energy savings’ seminars will highlight the importance of correctly selecting and sizing individual drive-train components. The company claims this can optimise system performance and increase energy savings.
According to the manufacturer, the costs associated with drive products are minimal investments when compared to the overall cost of a system or plant. However, energy consumption can constitute up to 90% of the total operational costs.
The developer says optimising the energy efficiency of each individual system component and combining the drive technology to match the specific application will achieve a significant economic benefit.
The seminars will provide an in-depth understanding of this concept of ‘total drive efficiency.’ Attendees will be given a tour of the facility, participate in a forum and have the chance to speak with drive experts.
The functions will be held on 14 and 15 October.
